Soroush Sadeghi holds a Master of Music and a Performer Diploma in Collaborative Piano from Indiana University Bloomington Jacobs School of Music. He is currently pursuing his Doctorate of Music in Collaborative Piano at Indiana University as an Associate Instructor, studying under esteemed instructors Anne Epperson, Kevin Murphy, and Aram Arakelyan.
Mr. Sadeghi has had the privilege of being coached by esteemed faculty members while collaborating with their students, including Atar Arad, Mark Kaplan, Stephen Wryczynski, Eric Kim, Kyung Sun Lee, members of the Pacific Quartet, Michelle DeYoung, Heidi Grant Murphy, Wolfgang Brendel, Russell Thomas, Jane Dutton,. He has also participated in master classes with renowned pianists Warren Jones, Rohan Da Silva, Gordon Back, Thomas Hoppe, Kathleen Kelly, David Kaplan, and Christiane Karajeva.
Mr. Sadeghi is an active collaborative pianist at the Jacobs School of Music, where he has performed in over 50 recitals and frequently serves as a pianist for school instrumental competitions.
Before moving to Indiana, Mr. Sadeghi established himself as an accomplished collaborative pianist at various universities, music schools, and festivals in Iran. He collaborated with the Tehran Opera Ensemble on several projects, including Hansel and Gretel, Les Misérables, and The Sound of Music, and performed with large ensembles and orchestras such as the Tehran Symphonic Orchestra under the baton of Alexander Rahbari.
In addition to his performance career, Mr. Sadeghi has released two albums. His latest album, From Italy to Persia, recorded in 2022 by ARS Produktion, features collaborations with oboist Aryan Gheitasi and has been marketed in Europe, Japan, and the United States. Oblivion, recorded in 2019 by Raha Music Production in Iran, is a collaborative project with the Tehran Quintet and won the Silver Medal in the 2020 Global Music Awards for “Best Album” and “Best Ensemble.”
Mr. Sadeghi has also served as a staff pianist at Interlochen Arts Camp and has performed at Source Song Festival and Operation Opera 2023 at California State University, Sacramento, where he premiered art songs by emerging American composers.
